September might drag with it a bit of sadness regarding the end of the summer but it is also the coolest month of the season since it is absolutely full of fashion weeks around the world. How amazing is that? We have been through New York, Madrid, Melbourne and Copenhagen until now and finally it’s London’s turn. London Fashion Week is clearly within the Top 5 Fashion Weeks after Paris and New York and it is so much fun to see the differences between them all. London Fashion Weekend only started this Saturday and we have already had the chance to see the top fashion names, influencers, celebrities, models or bloggers. Saturday’s shows included names like Shrimps, Eudon Choi, Ryan Lo & Ashley Williams and Sunday’s program included fashion houses like Emilia Wickstead, Gareth Pugh, House of Holland & J.W.Anderson.
Within the well known guests we got to see Olivia Palermo, Alexa Chung, Caroline Issa, Eva Herzigová and many other fashion addicts and lovers who also flew into the rainy city to get filled up with the newest of trends and unique collections.
If you are a big fan of Topshop make sure you have a look at their new designs, because they are already in the shops and available for everyone. This season’s ready-to-wear Topshop collection show started very 80s, with some very clear power dressing and zebra patterns, combined with pinks and fuchsias or flower patterns, which is why the second part of the collection started to remind us more of the 90s. Some other flashy colors were also present in the 90s inspired part of the show, yellow dresses or jumpers matched perfectly with the whole show. The collection ended with some very chic black transparencies, that are definitely worth a look.
The good news about all this is that LFW has only started and we cannot wait to see more celebrities, street style looks and new collections going down one of the most important runways of Europe. Just in case you happen to find yourself around the city of rain, grey sky and red telephones, make sure you jump on the Circle Line and head down to W1 (Central London) and get a good peek of the London Fashion Weekend from Thursday onwards. We can guarantee you some very fashionable inspirations, unique designs and many recognizable faces.
